About the
Auburn Horizon

Auburn Horizon was a bi-monthly newsletter for analyzing issues and trends in higher education and determining their future impacts upon the structure of Auburn University. It was a non-profit newsletter whose purpose was to help improve knowledge of higher education issues and create a process for discussion of the possible impacts for institutions.

During its three year run, the Auburn Horizon was successful in landing interviews with major participants in higher education on a State and national level. We also were successful in directing the discussion of emergent issues in technology, policy, and planning. While the organization may have been disbanded, the process can easily be continued. All it takes if for another group of dedicated and concerned people who want higher education institutions to move in a forward direction to take up the banner. We worked very hard to make sure that the process was well defined, strongly constructed, and theoretically sound. We did all the hard work, now

someone needs to step up and take it over. The files and entire contents of the Auburn Horizon organization are located in Hargis Hall waiting for someone to step up. Could it be you?
