1. Welcome and introductions

2. Approval of minutes of last meeting

• Judith Sheppard seconded
• Minutes from August 9, 2012 Steering Committee Meeting Approved

3. Preview of Senate presentation by Karla McCormick (invited) re: issues related to pay and benefits

• Suggestions made and discussed after presentation

4. Preview of Senate presentation by Rusty Weldon (invited) re:  timely textbook orders

• Suggestions made and discussed after presentation

5. Discussion of draft Administrator Hiring Resolution (prepared by Dr. Boosinger in response to 10/02/07 Senate resolution)

• Statement endorsed by Steering committee, will be presented as an Action Item Pending at Senate meeting September 11, 2012

6. Approval of agenda for September 11 Senate meeting

• Agenda Discussed and Prepared
• Presentations will be sent to Senate Office by September 4, 2012 to post on Senate Agenda page

7. Possible invited presenters for future meetings of the Senate

• Parking Committee
• Healthy Tiger
• Master Plan Update

8. Other business

• Discussed Amy Heck's request to be on Retention Committee
• Will meet with Patricia Duffy from AAUP at Executive Committee Meeting
