Changes to Faculty & Staff Athletics Tickets

Auburn faculty and staff each year may purchase two season tickets to football and other ticketed sports. Below is a summary of three changes for those who take advantage of this opportunity. More information is available at www.auburn.edu/facultystafftix.

Game tickets & IDs

Faculty and staff will now receive a regular ticket for each game. In the past, they received a single season pass.

In addition, employee ID cards are no longer required for entry, a change that enhances security by decreasing the potential for lost or stolen IDs.

Ticket discount rate

Federal guidelines allow Auburn to discount regular season tickets 20 percent from face value for faculty and staff.

To assist with this change, a payment plan is now available. Faculty and staff may choose to spread the cost over several months or pay in one lump sum as in the past.

Ticket priority policy

The Committee on Intercollegiate Athletics is comprised of faculty and staff and is charged, in part, with setting seating priority. After lengthy deliberation and hearing from faculty and staff groups, the Committee determined that tickets will be awarded based on consistent support of Auburn football, i.e. years of purchasing tickets. The change takes place in 2016.

The existing policy will remain in place for 2015. For those who purchase tickets in 2015, your seating priority will remain the same in 2016 and beyond, unless you request an upgrade.

Away-game and post-season tickets will be based on a lottery system starting in 2015. The lottery will be tiered in that faculty and staff with the most points will have a greater chance of being selected.

Please note: Auburn administration and the Committee on Intercollegiate Athletics determined the above changes. As such, members of the Auburn Athletics Ticket Office are not in a position to answer questions on the rationale for these changes.
