Charles Mitchell is Professor in the Department of Agronomy & Soils and Extension Agronomist.  He joined the A.U. faculty as Assistant Professor 1984.  He has a Ph.D. degree in Soil Science from the University of Florida, a M.S. degree from Auburn University, and a B.S. degree from Birmingham Southern College, and served on the faculty of Clemson University. At Auburn University, Dr. Mitchell's responsibilities are 70% Extension and 30% research.

 

Howard LaVann Thomas, Jr. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile Engineering.  Prior Service includes: Senator, Textile Engineering 1996-2000; 2004-Present; University Program Review Committee 1998-1999; University Patent Policy Committee 2001-2002; Engineering Faculty Council Chair 2004-Present.

 

Judith V. Lechner is an Associate Professor (will be Professor starting fall, 2005) in the Department of Educational Foundations, Leadership, and Technology. Prior Service includes: Senate representative from department, 1993-1996; 2003-2006; Academic Honesty Committee, 2002-2005; Library Committee, 1995-1998; University Cultural Diversity Committee, 1994-1997; and, Co-chair of the Library Appeals Committee, a subcommittee of the Library Committee, 1991-92.
