Resolution to Congratulate President Muse

WHEREAS the Alabama Academy of Honor was created “to bestow honor and recognition upon living Alabamians for their outstanding accomplishments and services”; and

WHEREAS the Academy has honored William V. Muse because of his “efforts to position Auburn University for the challenges of the 21^st century [which] have attracted national attention to his leadership and broad support from across Alabama”; and

WHEREAS the Alabama Academy of Honor is limited to one hundred living members; and

WHEREAS William V. Muse has served as President of Auburn University since 1992; and

WHEREAS President William V. Muse was inducted into the Alabama Academy of Honor on August 28, 2000 for bringing honor to the State of Alabama;

NOW BE IT RESOLVED that the Auburn University Senate applauds and congratulates President William V. Muse for this award which brings honor to both him and Auburn University.
