Seeking Committee Nominations (updated June 19,2006) The A&P Nominations & Elections Committee is accepting nominations for vacancies on various A&P committees. A&P employees are encouraged to nominate others or themselves for service. Terms begin Oct. 1 and expire Sept. 30, 2009. Submit nominations along with completed bio form to Karen Rankin by Thursday, July 6. Committee descriptions and number of vacancies are available here. Bio form is available in Word or PDF.
The A&P Assembly will meet Tuesday, June 20, 2006, in 217 Foy Union at 2:30 PM. Guest speaker will be Charles McCrary, Chair Presidential Search Advisory Committee. See the agenda.
Representatives will be in retreat Friday, June 9 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM for the purpose of receiving training and information. No Assembly business will be transacted during the retreat. At the conclusion of the retreat a summary of the happenings will be posted on this website. See the agenda here. Characteristics Important in Next Auburn University President (updated May 11,2006) All A&P employees are encouraged to complete the survey of preferences for characteristics important in the next Auburn University President. Results of the survey will be forwarded to the Presidential Search Committee.
Meetings are generally held on the third Tuesday of the month unless announced otherwise.
The A&P Assembly will meet Tuesday, May 16, Room at 2:30 PM in 321 Foy Union. See the agenda.
The Presidential Search Committee has scheduled Open Forums Tuesday, May 31 at the AU Hotel and Dixon Conference Center, Ballroom A at the following times: Session I: University Staff Employee Group (8:30-9:30 a.m.) Session II: Administrative & Professional Employee Group (10-11 a.m.) Session III: Students (11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.) Session IV: Faculty (1:30 - 2:30 p.m.) Session V: Community (3 - 4 p.m.) This is your opportunity to provide personal input to the search committee.
All Administrative & Professional Assembly employees are encouraged to make nominations for vacancies on the following University Committees: Institutional Biosafety Committee, Insurance and Benefits Committee, Multicultural Diversity Committee, Student Discipline Committee, and Traffic Appeals Board. Send nominations with bio by Wednesday, May 3 via email to rankikm@auburn.edu, Karen Rankin, Chair of A & P Nominations & Elections Committee. Biography form may be downloaded.

Nominations are now being accepted through March 3, 2006 for Assembly representatives. Persons elected will serve a three-year term from April 1, 2006 through March 31, 2009.
The open places are Place 1, Facilities; Place 6, Information Technology; Place 8, Alumni & Student Affairs; Place 11, College of Engineering; Place 17, Business & Finance.
Unexpired terms will also be filled in Place 5, ACES & Outreach with term ending 2007; Place 15 (two seats), College of Agriculture with terms ending 2007 & 2008.
Nominations may be made by any A & P employee. Only employees in designated areas will vote to elect their representatives.
Voting will be done electronically during the week of March 13 - 20, 2006. Paper ballots will be available for those who do not have internet access and may be requested.
Nominations and request for paper ballots should be forwarded to Karen Rankin, rankikm@auburn.edu, 844-5116, Chair of the A & P Nominations and Elections Committee. Nominations should be accom panied by a brief biography of the person being nominated. Bio form is available here.
