Campus Services

Campus Services provides a clean and safe environment for students, staff and university clients, serving the Auburn University community in the most efficient way possible.

The Classroom Building coordinators oversee the daily operations of the assigned classroom buildings to ensure the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained and operated at a high level.

Listed below are some of the common functions and services provided by the Classroom Building coordinators:

  • Act as a single point of contact that all building occupants may address emergencies and general concerns.
  • Serve as safety coordinator.
  • Maintain a reservation system for public use areas of campus buildings.
  • Inspect assigned campus buildings on a regular basis ensuring safety and appearance issues are adequately addressed.
  • Submit work orders for repairs and replacements as required.
  • Assist occupants with planned renovations.
In-house Custodial Services' primary function is to provide a safe, clean and healthy environment for students, faculty and staff of Auburn University. We provide service from 5 a.m. till 12:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, in academic, classroom and laboratory buildings. We also provide 24-hour, seven-days-a-week emergency on-call services.

Landscape Services strives to make the campus of Auburn University an attractive and inviting destination for the entire community. Our landscape architects design areas that are not only functional, but also beautiful and harmonious with the natural environment. In addition, architects assist with planning the location of buildings, roads and walkways, and the arrangement of flowers, shrubs and trees.

The Arbor Day Foundation has honored Auburn University as a Tree Campus USA University for its dedication to campus and forestry management and environmental stewardship. Auburn was the first college or university in the SEC to receive the designation.

Materials Management maintains receiving warehouse operations at Building 6 for Facilities Management. Functions include material buying with online system generated material request processes. Inventory control with MRO products in support of Facilities Departments and campus needs with quick response for service and maintenance supplies, thus providing a safe, secure and comfortable campus for students, faculty and staff.

Some of the common functions and services provided by Materials Management are:

  • Provide Maintenance, Repair and Operations materials including HVAC, Electrical, Building Material, Security, Plumbing, Paint, Lighting, Automotive, Custodial, Preventive Maintenance and Utility Supplies.
  • Accounting processes including Invoice verification and Purchase order Disbursement. Invoice authorization for payment, PO requisitions for inventory and non-stock materials. Annual material contracts for supply orders. Capital Assets and Equipment Inventory Verification.
  • Provide Campus-wide Motorfreight Shipping from our Warehouse Operations Campus-wide walk in counter sales for immediate inventory supply needs. Data entry of material orders into (AIM) Facilities system and online (ESP) reconciliation report daily.

Work Management is responsible for providing customers with a direct link to maintenance and construction needs provided by Facilities. Work orders for the Facilities' shops are generated based on customer requests received through 844-HELP or through a web-based Work Request Form

After normal working hours and on weekends, assistance to customers is provided through an answering service. The answering service will promptly communicate the nature of the caller's problem to the appropriate personnel using our after-hours call-in manual.

Some of the common functions and services provided by Work Management are:

  • Handling emergency calls.
  • Initiating work requests.
  • Notifications of utility outages and road closures.
