Cell Phone Support

Facilities IT provides cellular phone support for facilities departments.

The current Phone standard for facilities is the Motorola Barrage Flip phone with Camera. Certified to withstand extreme temperatures, dust shock, and more, the Motorola Barrage for Verizon Wireless is built to military specifications (Mil-Spec 810F) and is designed to be submersible for up to 30 minutes in one meter of water. (Please do not test) User Manual

Please bring your phone to Kris Garner, Facilities Building 2 Rm 116 to retrieve pictures from your phone.

Text or Picture messaging is not active on University phones. If you need text or picture messaging please have your supervisor request a plan.

The current Smart Phone standards are the Droid X2, Droid 3, Droid Bionic, or the iPhone 4S.

Unlimited text messaging (SMS) is enabled on all Smart Phones, however picture messaging (MMS) is not enabled. Please email any photo you need retrieved from your Smart Phone.

Tethering your Smart Phone to allow it to be used as a modem for your mobile computer is available with Supervisor's approval.
