Welcome

The Comprehensive Campus Master Plan (CCMP) was initiated by the Auburn University Board of Trustees and adopted in 2002 as a living process with the object of revisiting the plan at least once every five years. Following the scheduled update in 2007, the Office of Campus Planning and Space Management (CPSM) has begun the next update process in preparation for Board adoption in the fall of 2012. The Board has endorsed a set of Planning Elements which govern the CCMP.

The frequency of major revisions to the CCMP is driven by changes in the strategic an academic plans of the University. Minor revisions to and ongoing implementation of the master plan are overseen by CPSM with guidance from the University Master Plan Committee(MPC) which is advisory to the President. In order to be effective, the update process must be more inclusive, cooperative and developed around a consensus vision for the campus. In support of the process, the MPC has been expanded to form an ad hoc Master Plan Update Committee composed of a broader representation of University constituents and charged with: providing input to the process; monitoring the progress of the work; reviewing products of the planning team; and recommending appropriate master plan accommodations. In addition to the committee review structure, open forums will be held to gain participation and input from the campus community and general public. Individuals may voice their opinions via our Comment page.

The meeting schedule for the Comprehensive Campus Master Plan 2012 Update, as well as meeting agendas, notes and draft/final work products will be available on the Progress page. If there are any questions or comments please feel free to contact the Office of Campus Planning and Space Management.
