The Residential Recycling Program is a convenient way for students living on-campus to recycle. Each room receives two re-usable recycling bags to collect recyclable material separately. |

ORANGE BAG:
Mixed Paper (click here for complete list of acceptable items)
Cardboard (please flatten)

BLUE BAG:
Aluminum & Tin Cans
Plastics #1 & #2 only (No #3 - #7)
*Please rinse out all food contaminated recyclables

Not Accepted (put in trash)
Food or food contaminated items
Styrofoam
Pizza boxes
Tissue/napkins/paper towels
Glass
Stickers
Coffee cups
Fast food cups
Plastic Wrap / cellophane
Residents will be responsible for sorting recycling in the dorm room & emptying their recycling bags into the centrally located recycling bins located near their residence hall trash dumpsters. |

There are three (3) separate bins for the sorted recyclables:
Cardboard-only dumpster - remove inner packaging & flatten boxes
Blue 95 gallon bin - for mixed paper
Blue 95 gallon bin - for plastic & aluminum



Please place items in the correct bin. Do not put trash in recycling bins.
Place all trash items in the trash dumpster near the recycling bins.
REUSE your recycling bags - do not throw them away!
The City of Auburn Drop-off Recycling Center located at 365A N. Donahue Drive also accepts the following:
