The Automotive Shop maintains and repairs all Facilities Division vehicles and repairs other university owned vehicles as requested. The Automotive Shop also provides service to the Auburn University Department of Public Safety vehicles and other university owned vehicles on campus providing service to the campus. The central function of the Automotive Shop is to provide safe and reliable transportation to those supporting the students, faculty and staff.
Some of the common functions and services provided by the Automotive Shop are:
- Limited roadside service to customers
- Complete engine and transmission service and repair
- Annual safety and reliability inspections
- On-board computer diagnostics
- Alignment and tire replacement, repair and balancing
- System repairs including: exhaust, air conditioning and electrical components
