General Construction is the group responsible for the appearance, access, and stucture of buildings on campus.

Departments under General Construction include:

Access Control provides keys and card access to all areas of campus.

Asbestos Control assists in the repair of pipes, tanks and other places where asbestos containing material is found.

Carpentry Shop maintains building structures and interior components for buildings on campus.

Heavy Construction provides daily maintenance repair and replacement of university owned streets, sidewalks and buildings on campus.

Maintenance & Operations Project Coordinator performs inspections of new construction and renovations, computer input and implementation, and data and program management including website design and layout.

Paint Shop handles the interior and exterior painting of buildings on campus.

Preventive Maintenance performs routine servicing of mechanical systems and performs routine maintenance on major campus buildings.

Roofing Shop repairs and replaces roof systems as needed on campus.

Sign Shop makes and installs interior and exterior signage according to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and requirements across campus.
