Mission Statement
The Controller/Financial Reporting Department of the University Business Office provides financial information useful for evaluating the management of resources in attaining the institution's mission of teaching, research and outreach. Financial information is disseminated to various constituencies including the following:
- administration
- faculty
- staff
- students
- state government agencies
- federal government agencies
- other external users

2011 Annual Report
Financial Reporting has added the
2011 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. This document provides a wide variety of financial information. An
archive of previous annual reports is also available.
Property Services
Property Services is now reporting to the Controller/Financial Reporting in the Business Office. We welcome the director of Property Services, John Asmuth, and his staff. Surplus Property will continue to report to the Assistant Vice President for Auxiliary Services.

Areas of Responsibilty
- Preparing and publishing the annual, audited financial statements of the University, including divisional statements
- Coordination of Financial, A-133 and NCAA audits
- Monitor compliance with tax regulations and report federal, state and local taxes and information returns as required
- Accounting for debt service and issuing bond payments
- Depreciation accounting and reconciliation of all plant funds
- Bank reconciliations
- Assist with training on our SCT Financial Records System, and monitor and train for compliance with Federal and State regulations
