Student Financial Aid
2013-14 Student Financial Aid Forms
2013-14 includes the terms 2013 Fall, 2014 Spring, and 2014 Summer.
The forms below must be printed, completed, and submitted to our office via mail to 203 Martin Hall Auburn University AL, faxed to 334-844-6085, or emailed to finaid7@auburn.edu. All of these forms are not required for all students.
Please read the descriptions below to determine if the form is applicable to you.
Prior to filing the
Free
Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) online, please review our FAFSA Checklist for tips on completing the FAFSA correctly. A FAFSA submitted online is processed by the Federal Processor much quicker than a paper FAFSA. In order to be considered for need-based scholarships, your FAFSA must be processed and received by our office on or before the priority deadline of March 1. Our office will send award offers beginning early April for students whose applications are complete at that time. An application is considered complete only when all forms or data needed to determine eligibility are received.
Verification
Verification Worksheet - This form is required for students who have been selected for verification by the Federal Processor. Your Student Aid Report (SAR) will indicate if you have been selected for verification.
Child Support Paid - If you have been selected for verification, and you, your spouse, or your parent show child support paid in 2012 on your FAFSA, you must complete the section below. However, if you are required to complete the Verification Worksheet, you will complete Section F of the Verification Worksheet in place of this form.
Identity and Statement of Educational Purpose - If your Financial Aid Requirements page on Tigeri shows this form as requested, this is a requirement for you. This form is not required of all students. Please note that there are two options for completing this requirement, one if you are able to come to our office in person, and the other if you are not able to come to our office in person which involves a Notary.
PLUS Loans
2013-14 PLUS Loan Application
Attention Parents: If you are the parent of a dependent student, you may be eligible to borrow under the Federal PLUS loan program. Please review the instructions prior to submitting your application.
2013-14 Graduate PLUS Application
Eligible graduate students are allowed to borrow under the Federal Graduate PLUS Program to assist with educational costs. It is advised that you maximize your yearly Stafford Unsubsidized eligibility before you apply for the Graduate PLUS Loan.
Special Circumstances
Dependent Student Re-evaluation Form - This form is for dependent students whose status has changed due to extenuating circumstances. The circumstances that we may consider are listed on the form.
Independent Student Re-evaluation Form -
This form is for independent students whose status has changed due to extenuating circumstances. The circumstances that we may consider are listed on the form.
Dependency Override Request - This form is for students who do not meet federal criteria to be considered independent, but consider themselves to be independent based on extenuating circumstances.
Other Aid Forms
Federal Work Study Information Sheet - Complete this form ONLY IF you have been awarded Federal Work Study for 2013-14.
Financial Information Release Form - This is required if you would like to grant permission for Student Financial Services to release your financial information to your parent(s) or guardian(s). To complete this request: Logon to AU Access using your username and password. Select the "View and Update" link on the Student Financial Services tab on tiger i in order to submit the request.
Employee Dependent Waiver Form - This form is required for students whose parent is a full-time AU employee and wishes to apply for the one-half tuition employee dependent waiver.
Money Talks Application - The Office of Student Financial Services offers a unique employment opportunity for qualified Graduate Work Study Employees to staff our MONEY TALKS Financial Aid Tele-Counseling Center. Qualified employees will receive incoming financial aid telephone inquiries, respond to caller's questions, or transfer callers with more complex inquiries to the appropriate advisor. There is no tuition waiver attached to this position.
