The forms below must be printed, completed, and submitted to our office via mail to 203 Martin Hall Auburn University AL, 36849 or faxed to 334-844-6085. All of these forms are not required for all students.
Please read the descriptions below to determine if the form is applicable to you.
Most importantly, file the Free
Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) online.
A FAFSA form submitted online is processed by the Federal Processor quicker than a paper application. Our priority application deadline is March 1. In order to meet the deadline, we must have the results of the FAFSA (Student Aid Report) and other forms requested by our office no later than March 1st. Applications received after this date will be considered in the order of date received depending on the availability of funds. An application is considered complete only when all forms or data needed to determine eligibility are received.
Verification Worksheet - This form is required for students who have been selected for verification by the Federal Processor. Your Student Aid Report (SAR) will indicate if you have been selected for verification. In addition to this Verification Worksheet, signed copies of 2008 Federal tax returns for student/spouse or parent(s), as applicable are required.
Attention Parents: If you are the parent of a dependent student, you may be eligible to borrow under the Federal PLUS loan program. Before applying for the Federal PLUS loan, please be sure to have a completed FAFSA on file at Auburn University. Your dependent student must also be enrolled at least half time and maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress. See our SAP Policy under 'Special Information' on this site. In addition, the student must meet all other requirements of Title IV aid, as determined by the Department of Education. The maximum amount that the parent may borrow under the Federal PLUS loan program, is Cost of Attendance minus any other aid (scholarships, grants, loans, waivers, etc) received by the student.
2009-10 PLUS Loan Application: Auburn University will be moving from the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) to the Federal Direct Loan Program, beginning summer 2009. This means that you will no longer borrow Federal PLUS loans from a bank or student loan company. All Federal loan proceeds will be borrowed from the Federal government. The primary reason for our decision to change programs is assurance of funding. Over the last year, there have been unforeseen funding delays as a result of the volatile conditions in the credit market, as well as in the student lending industry.
2009-10 Graduate PLUS Application - Please complete this form if requesting a Graduate PLUS loan for 2009-10. Eligible graduate students are allowed to borrow under the Federal Graduate PLUS Program to assist with educational costs. It is advised that you maximize your yearly Stafford Subsidized and Unsubsidized eligibility before you apply for the Graduate PLUS Loan.
