| The
Southeastern American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies is
an interdisciplinary society promoting the interchange of ideas
and information on the culture, history, literature, philosophy,
politics, music, economics, architecture, art, medicine, and
science of the eighteenth-century world. |

| Membership |
|
| Membership
is open to any person or institution interested in the
eighteenth century. Most members live in the region comprising
North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky,
Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Others come from
all over the United States and Canada.
Members receive an informative and entertaining quarterly
newsletter and the opportunity to present papers and recitals at
the annual meeting, as well as the opportunity to submit articles to the Society-sponsored journal, XVIII New Perspectives on the Eighteenth Century.
