Welcome

Auburn University and the College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM) are committed to training the next generation of women who will begin their careers in sciences and mathematics. The Society of Women in Sciences and Mathematics was created with a vision to bring together women who serve as leaders and role models and expand the talent pool for the next generation.

We are committed to increasing awareness of the opportunities available for women at all stages of their careers, supporting experiences to enhance the learning environment, and encouraging young women to pursue career paths in sciences and mathematics. We provide financial support for programs including the annual symposium, scholarships, L.A.D.I.E.S. and L.I.F.E. in Science which offer opportunities in peer-mentoring, professional development and leadership experiences.

As one of our alumni or friends, you have an opportunity to broaden the experiences of these students and to make a difference in the careers of women. Your help is necessary to achieve our vision and to foster professional development of women in the sciences and mathematics.
