Conference Highlights
Overview
An intensive three-day Alabama
LSAMP
summer faculty conference, designed to help faculty better prepare STEM
students for graduate school and to help graduate faculty be better mentors
and advisors, was held July 11 - 13, 2004 at
The Lodge and Conference Center at Grand National
in Opelika, Alabama.
During the conference, graduate faculty gave presentations on prerequisites
and required subject knowledge for Masters and PhD degrees in Biology, Chemistry,
Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Each presentation was followed by discussion.
There was also be a panel discussion on curriculum, advising, mentoring,
and GRE preparation.

From Birmingham via Hwy 280,
go East on Hwy 280 to Lee County 97 (Grand National Pkwy), and follow the
directions above.
