Physics Professor Receives Alumni Professorship

Francis Robicheaux, a professor in the College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM) Physics Department recently received an Auburn University Alumni Professorship.

"It is a great honor to be recognized by the AU Alumni Association for the research my students, colleagues and I have accomplished during the past 10 years," Robicheaux said. "I have been lucky to collaborate with many talented scientists in the United States and Europe, which has clearly enriched my research and teaching. Some of the most successful and enjoyable projects were those with my students and atomic physics colleagues at Auburn."

COSAM Student One of Five AU Track Team Members to Qualify for Olympics

Five Auburn track athletes had a successful two days at the Trinidad and Tobago Championships held in Hasely Crawford Stadium on June 20-21. Fana Ashby, Marc Burns, Josanne Lucas, Damion Barry and Sherridan Kirk all medalled at the championships and qualified to compete in the 2004 Olympic Games
