Department of Mathematics

Long Range Schedule

2002-2003

1. Courses that are listed as 3 credit hours (3) meet MWF for 50 minutes or TR for 75 minutes. Courses that are listed as 4 credit hours (4) meet four days per week (usually MTWF, MWRF, MTWR) or three days per week with longer sessions as needed (e.g. courses listed TWR meet 75 minutes T and R and 50 minutes W; courses listed MWF meet 50 minutes on two of the days and 100 minutes on one of the days); the final format is dependent on available classroom space. Courses marked (VAR) are variable credit courses. Specific faculty assignments are subject to change.

1b. In the summer 10-week session. Courses that are listed as 3 credit hours (3) meet MWF for 75 minutes. Courses that are listed as 4 credit hours (4) meet four days a week for 75 minutes.

1c. In the summer 5-week session. Courses that are listed as 3 credit hours (3) meet MTWRF for 90 minutes. Courses that are listed as 4 credit hours (4) meet MTWRF for 90 minutes with two extra meetings per week. The time for the extra two meetings is tentative and is listed in parenthesis after the main meeting time.

2. Meeting times not yet determined are listed TBA under quarters courses will be offered.

3. Outreach courses are indicated by (OR).

4. The schedule for the 6000 and 7000 level courses are tentative, the final offerings at these levels will depend on anticipated student needs. The symbol "s?" indicates that a course is offered "off sequence". Previous experiences indicate that these sections frequently have insufficient enrollment. Summer offerings of 6000 and 7000 level courses are contingent on enrollment.

5. At the 1000 - 2000 level additional times to those listed are often available according to enrollment needs and according to staffing and space availability.
