Vision Statement

 

Vision

To be the leading center for university science and mathematics teaching, research and outreach in the State of Alabama, and along the I-85 corridor and beyond.

Mission

To provide an environment that ensures excellence in the biological, physical and mathematical sciences for the purpose of (1) preserving, interpreting and conveying existing knowledge (teaching); (2) creating, integrating and applying new knowledge (research); and, (3) fostering educational exchange within the University, the Alabama community and society as a whole.

Offering a K-12 sciences and mathematics outreach menu

  • Develop a K-12 sciences and mathematics outreach center operated by a director with a K-12 advisory board
   

Undergirding the mission of the College through private gifts

  • Solicit support for scholarships, fellowships, professorships, research projects, equipment, instructional technology and capital construction.
