Research Interests: Erik grew up watching such icons as Steve Irwin and Jeff Corwin, and in turn became very interested in ecology, animals, and the environment in general. He now views the ocean as the last unexplored frontier on Earth, a vast expanse of mystery. Erik is particularly interested in marine invertebrates and may study such organisms as squid for his graduate work.
