Getting Under The Surface

What is Guts: GUTS is a bimonthly evening program aimed at first-eighth grade students and their parent or grandparent. Each evening will include dinner followed by a 1½ hour science activity. Each activity features a “Getting Under The Surface’ theme, that will focus on how common objects (such as toasters and roller coasters) and techniques (such as DNA fingerprinting) work. Topics will appeal to all audiences and can be demystified using simple scientific concepts.
