Science Fun Shop Mini-Courses     8:30-11:30, 1:15-2:00           Various Locations

The "Science Fun Shops" are short, hands-on mini-courses focused on a particular topic. The courses typically last about 45 minutes and wil have 25-40 participants. These courses will be ticketed courses and pre-registration is required. Specific information about the fun courses will be sent to registered participants.

Science EXPO                                      9:00-11:30                   Saunders Lawn Tents

The Science EXPO is a series of displays sponsored by each of the departments that comprise the College of Sciences nd Mathematics (COSAM) at Auburn - Physics, Biology, Chemistry/Biochemistry, and Geology/Geography. The EXPO will feature many hands-on displays and lots of faculty and students from all the COSAM departments at Auburn. Students are invited to browse the displays and learn what educational opportunities Auburn has to offer in science and math, as well as career and research opportunities after college graduation.

Also, the famous "Wildlife Pick-n-Pet" tent is a featured parrt of the Science EXPO. See a live mussel, hold a baby snake, let a tarantula crawl up your arm!

Science Carnival                                 11:45-1:00                     Allison Lawn

Try your skills at a variety of fair games, meet Aubie (Auburn's beloved mascot), munch on popcorn and win great prizes - and much more! At the Carnival, students can play outdoor games and rides while flexing their muscles and their brains! Students will have multiple opportunities to earn "Carnival Coupons," which can be traded in for food, drinks, and a variety of prizes during the Carnival hours. Weather permitting, the carnival will be open from 11:45 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  Popcorn, cotton candy, and small sodas will be available fro trade of Carnival Coupons. Large sodas in an AU cup will be available for $3. Special lunch deals will be available on-site from AU campus food services.

Other Campus Attractions

Donald E. Davis Arboretum                                                     Open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Grab a map of the Arboretum and venture along one of the many trails that wind through the beautiful 13 acres, or bring a picnic lunch and eat next to the lake or under the open air pavilion. With hundreds of labeled trees and shrubs, the Arboretum offers a unique outdoor classroom experience!
