Auburn Students Win Fear Factor Prize

Biomedical sciences major, Chad Granger, and public relations major, Lacey Moulton, are the winners of the latest installment of the TV show "Fear Factor."

The Auburn students won $250,000 after enduring such challenges as living in "The Bates Motel"; Moulton being buried alive in a casket filled with rodents and insects; re-enacting the shower scene from "Psycho"; and eating Iraqi camel spiders.

Granger is not the first COSAM student or member of his family to take home the "Fear Factor" prize. In 2004, Brian Barrett, a 2002 biomedical sciences graduate and his girlfriend, Mandie, Granger's sister, won $50,000 on the show.

Granger says he plans to give some of his winnings to charity, to purchase a new vehicle and to pay for dental school. Moulton says she plans to invest and save some of the money; but will also purchase a new camera, TV and iPod.
