Scholars Program 1994 - Present

LSAMP Scholarships are initially awarded to outstanding incoming

underrepresented minority freshmen majoring in Science, Engineering, and

Mathematics on the basis of their High School grades and ACT or

SAT scores and/or their performance in the Summer Bridge Program. 

All scholarship recipients are required to attend Chemistry, Mathematics,

and Physics Workshops and maintain a 3.00 GPA. Other students that attend

these Workshops and do well in their courses are eligible to compete for

these scholarships as they become available.
