Instructions
Completed and in-progress research and creative works from all disciplines are eligible for presentation. Students are encouraged to submit abstracts of completed projects, presentations of initial results, research-project designs, field experiences, visual art, models of design projects, acting performances, musical performances, written research based on dramaturgical, musicological, or art history research, etc.
Registration for the upcoming symposium is automatic when you submit an abstract. Abstract Submission Deadline is March 5 , 2010. Submissions that do not follow the format instructions will be returned. Late submissions will not be reviewed.

An abstract example is provided. Please click here to view the correct format. Abstracts must be in the "abstract submission form" format to be accepted. Please send your abstract as a pdf and MS-word file to cmb@auburn.edu with "The Seventh Annual Auburn University Research and Creative Forum" in the heading. The document should be contained on a single page (8.5" x 11.0") with 1 inch margins, using Times New Roman font (12 cpi).
Be sure to list all authors in the abstract, including the major professor. Also, please list your name, major, hometown, academic year, Fellowship or Honors College designation(AU-CMB, AU-URFP, Honors), and Podium or Poster preference, if applicable.
Music/Theater Presentations
Creative Scholarship presentations should provide full score of Music or USB flash drive with sounds necessary during their performance.
Oral Research Podium Presentations
Research and Creative Scholarship Oral Presentations should be delivered by Powerpoint presentation.
Presenters should arrive at 4:30, with their presentation materials on USB flash drive and/or CD/DVD to transfer to desktop of PC in the room they will use for presentation.
Poster Presentations
Posters will be displayed at 5:00 on Tuesday, April 6th, and Wednesday, April 7th. Posters will require appropriate materials for hanging and may not be more than 3 feet tall X 4 feet wide. You should arrive at 4:30 to set up posters.
Visual Art/Design Presentations
Research and Creative Scholarship visual arts will be displayed for specific periods of time during the forum. Models of design projects or costume designs will be presented on either live models or dress forms.
Due to time restrictions we must limit the number of oral presentations. If your work is accepted, you will receive a notification of acceptance of your abstract and presentation format.
