Gear List

Competitors and teams must have the following gear to compete in the race:

l COMPASS - (minimum 1 per team) Must be carried at all times.

l WATER BOTTLES/HYDRATION PACK - (1 per team member) Each team member must leave each transition point with at least 1 quart of water.  Water will be provided at each transition point.

l FIRST AID KIT - (1/team) This is for your safety - don't skimp.

l GLOVES - (1 pair/team member).

l WHISTLE ON A LANYARD - (1 per team member).

l ROPE - 6' - 10' (1 per team).

l WATERPROOF DOCUMENT CASE OR POUCH - (1 per team).

l PENCIL, NOTE PAPER - (1 per team member) Used to copy down necessary information along the course .

l SUN BLOCK/BUG REPELLANT - (1 per team member) Both are recommended along the course.

Canoes, lifejackets, and paddles will not be provided. Teams can bring their own canoe or can rent one from local economy or the Race Staff. Canoes rented from Race Staff are an additional fee of $20. Racers must use lifejackets or else you will be disqualified.

GEAR INSPECTIONS - Teams will be inspected prior to the start of the race to ensure that all team and personal gear is on hand.  Teams may also be required to produce the gear along the course to complete special tests or obstacles.
