Trident Society

MISSION:
The mission of the Auburn University Trident Society is twofold. First, the society is dedicated to the promotion of interest and education in Navy Nuclear Power and its related areas. Second, the Trident Society shall provide both a social outlet and a means for furthering the camaraderie of those interested in Naval Nuclear Power.

CURRENT PROJECTS:
Currently Trident Society raises its funds through cooperation with the University. In the fall, Trident works as gate guards for parking lots for home football games, while in the spring semester they clean up after home basketball games and set up and tear down gymnastics equipment for home gymnastics meets. Part of this funding is allocated towards the Navy/Marine Corps Birthday Ball in the fall, while Trident uses the rest to support its training and recreational activities.

FUTURE PLANS:
Trident is planning an orientation trip to Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, GA to familiarize Midshipmen with Naval Nuclear Power and the Submarine Force. In addition, Trident also has planned numerous recreational activities, to include a paintball battle royale and movie nights.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:
The Trident Society is free to join for all Midshipmen, while dues are $25 for any members outside Auburn NROTC. If you are interested in joining, contact MIDN 2/C Matthew Guffey, President of The Trident Society.
