Steerage Society
Steerage Society at Auburn University is designed to enhance the professional competence and develop the esprit de corps of Midshipmen and Officer Candidates who desire to commission into the Surface Warfare Community. Any student enrolled in NROTC who has an interest in Surface Warfare is encouraged to join. Steerage has weekly meetings where we use our virtual ship technology to create a mock bridge watch team and simulate navigation and combat systems training. Thus, we can experience the waters of Hong Kong, Norfolk, and Pearl Harbor here on campus!! We also plan trips to visit Naval Stations in the southeast and explore surface combatants. GO SWO!!
