Eric Wehner
Athletic Trainer

Eric Wehner was born and raised in the small town of Laingsburg, Michigan.  After graduating from Laingsburg High School in 2007, he headed of to college at Michigan State University.  Eric graduated from MSU in the summer of 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training.  During his undergraduate work, he provided coverage to several varsity teams including Men’s Ice Hockey, Football, Cross Country and Track & Field.  Following graduation Eric was certified by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association Board of Certification and went to Central Michigan University to continue his education.  After being in school for a year, Eric decided to focus on the clinical aspect of his career and accepted a summer internship with the CMU football team.  At the end of the summer, he accepted a 9-month internship working with the Women’s Soccer team at Michigan Tech University.

While working at MTU this past fall, Eric decided that he wanted to pursue a Master’s degree.  That is what brought him to Auburn University.  By the end of the summer 2014 Eric will have a M.Ed. in Exercise Science with a research emphasis in Athletic Training.  He is the Athletic Trainer for the ROTC program which puts him in charge of injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation.  This is a great resource for our cadets to have and be able to use.  Eric is also teaching a class, Military Fitness for Everyone.  He is nationally certified and Licensed by the State of Alabama.
