Master Sergeant Michael Holland
Military Science Instructor Level III Training NCO

MSG Michael Holland is a native of Dalton, Ohio and enlisted as a Infantryman in OCT 1995. MSG Holland assignments include: 1-12 Infantry, 4th ID, Ft Carson, CO – V Corps Heidelberg, Germany, 1-5 Cav 1st Cavalry Divison, FT Hood Texas, 3-34 Infantry Ft Jackson, SC, 1-11 Infantry 199 IN BDE Ft Benning, GA, 2-69 AR 3rd BDE 3ID Ft Benning GA.

MSG Holland has served as Rifleman, Dismount Team Leader, Mechanized Section Leader, Dismount Squad Leader, Operation Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Platoon Leader, He is currently serving as MS III Instructor here at Auburn University.

Operational experience include: Operation Iraqi Freedom II / VII.

His awards include: Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with V device, Army Commendation Medal (6 OLC) , Army Achievement Medal (5 OLC), Good Conduct Meda l (4th Award), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award).

MSG Holland’s training include: Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), Basic Noncommisioned Officers Course (BNCOC), Advanced Noncommisioned Officers Course, Drill Sergeant School, Airborne, Combat Lifesaver, Master Fitness Instructor, and Combatives Level I / II.

He lives in Smiths Station with his wife Judy, three children Tyler, Brandon, Sarah and his dog Murray.
