Mr. Darryl Walker
Military Personnel Clerk

Darryl R. Walker, who is a native of Chicago, Illinois, enlisted in the United States Army as an Infantryman. He received his Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, GA. During his military service, Mr. Walker has held a myriad of leadership positions which include: Team Leader; Squad Leader; Platoon Sergeant; Drill Sergeant; Operations NCO; NCO Academy Senior Instructor; Equal Opportunity Advisor; Military Transition Team Trainer (MiTT), First sergeant; and he is currently working at Auburn University as a Military Personnel Clerk.

Mr. Walker’s assignments include: 2nd BN 9th Infantry Regiment, Fort Ord, CA. 2nd  BN 4th Infantry, Neu-Ulm, Germany; 2nd BN 13th Infantry Regiment, Fort Jackson, SC; 5th BN 502nd Infantry Regiment, Berlin, Germany; Air Base Ground Defense Course, Fort Dix, NJ; 1st BN  509th Infantry Regiment(ABN), JRTC and Fort Polk, LA; 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, JRTC and Fort Polk, LA and deployed as a part of Operation Joint Guard in Bosnia and Herzegovina; 2nd BN 27th Infantry Regiment Schofield Barracks, HI, Henry Caro Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Fort Benning, GA; OMC-Afghanistan as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom in Kabul,  Afghanistan, 3rd BN 11th IN Regiment Officer Candidate School, Fort Benning, GA.

Throughout his career, Mr. Walker has continued to further his military and civilian education. He has completed Airborne School Basic Course, Drill Sergeant School, Instructor Training Course, Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute, Systems Approach to Training Course, and NBC School.  He is also a graduate of all NCOES Schools to include the First Sergeant Course. While stationed in Berlin, Germany, he was selected as NCO of the Year for the Berlin Brigade and inducted into the prestigious Sergeant Morales Club. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Troy University and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Adult Education.

His Awards include Meritorious Service Medal (2OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation (4th OLC), Army Achievement Medal (5th OLC), Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal (2nd OLC), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service  Medal,  Armed Forces Service Medal, NATO Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 3), Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd Award), Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, Parachutist Badge, and the German Army Marksmanship Badge (Gold).
