Major Stewart Robbins
Assistant Professor of Military Science
 
MAJ Stewart J. Robbins is a native of Ashland, AL and enlisted in the Alabama Army National Guard in 1993.  He served five years enlisted and received his commission in 1998 from the Alabama Military Academy (OCS). 

He has served as a Military Police Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Company Commander.  Other assignments include: Supply and Distribution Platoon Leader, J2 Security Operations Officer, Force Integration Officer, BN S-1, BDE S-1, Secretary General Staff, and J5 Plans Officer.

Operational experience includes: Operation Enduring Freedom (Camp Delta, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and Kandahar, Afghanistan)     

His military education includes Basic Combat Training, Advanced Individual Training, Alabama Military Academy (OCS), Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, Sling Load Inspector Certification, Instructor Training Course, Military Police Officer Advanced Course, Anti-Terrorism Level II Training, Combined Arms Services Staff School, Security Manager Course, and Support Operations Course.  He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn University.   

His awards include: the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal (w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters), National Defense Service Medal w/service star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/Bronze Service Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/silver hourglass w/“M” device and numeral 2, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Medal, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, ISAF NATO Medal, Alabama Commendation Medal, (Alabama) National Emergency Service Medal w/9-11 clasp, Faithful Service Medal w/3 Bronze Saint Andrews Cross, Active Duty Basic Training Medal, Louisiana emergency service ribbon, and the Joint Meritorious Unit Award.
