Sergeant First Class Jason Day
Military Science Instructor Level III

SFC Jason Day enlisted in the United States Army on 2 July 2003. After attending One Station Unit Training, Airborne School, and the Ranger Indoctrination Program at Fort Benning, Georgia, he was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Benning, Georgia. SFC Day has served as a Rifleman, Grenadier, Saw Gunner, Fire Team Leader, Reconnaissance Team Sergeant, Rifle Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader, and Rifle Platoon Sergeant. SFC Day served with the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment from 1 November 2003 – 1 February 2014 where he deployed 11 times in support of the Global War on Terrorism. He is currently serving as the Military Science III Instructor at Auburn University, and is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from Liberty University in Religion.

SFC Day’s military education consists of Airborne School, Ranger Indoctrination Program, Ranger First Responder Course, Ranger School, Warrior Leader Course, Jumpmaster Course, Advanced Leader Course, Advanced Marksmanship Course, Viking Tactical Course, Master Breacher Course, and the Maneuver Senior Leader Course.

SFC Day’s Awards and Decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (1 OLC), Purple Heart, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Presidential Unit Citation Award, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (4 Stars), Iraq Campaign Medal (1 Star), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 3), Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 4), NATO Medal, Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Basic Parachutist Badge, and Senior Parachutist Badge.
