Themed Learning Community "Earthsmart"

 

Engineering & Sciences and Mathematics Earthsmart Living-Learning Community

The Earthsmart Living-Learning Community is a general group of students in the freshman class.   All incoming freshmen who are interested in living a sustainable life are eligible to participate. The community will live together in Lane Hall on the Lower Quad and take several classes together that will explore how we as individuals can make a positive impact on our environment in our everyday lives.  The group will take UNIV 1050: Success Strategies, English 1100: English Composition I, and History 1010: World History I in the Fall.  In the Spring, they will take UNIV 1100: Earthsmart, English 1120: English Composition II, and History 1020: World History II.  This is a unique opportunity to live in a green environment and take classes that focus on improving our environment. Students must be guaranteed housing to be eligible to participate.
