Themed Learning Community "Conservation Biology"

 

Sciences and Mathematics Conservation Biology Learning Community

The Conservation Biology Learning Community, sponsored by the College of Sciences and Mathematics, is a unique opportunity to learn about plant and animal conservation as a freshman. This community will explore different topics and career options in Conservation Biology through class discussion, activities, and outside speakers from across the state. All incoming freshmen with an interest in Conservation Biology are eligible to participate. The community will take several classes together including UNIV 1100: Exploring Conservation Biology; English 1100: English Composition I, and Biology 1020: Principles of Biology I, and Biology 1021: Principles of Biology Lab in the Fall and English 1120: English Composition II, BIOL 1030: Principles of Biology II, and BIOL 1031: Principles of Biology Lab in the Spring. Anyone with an interest in working with plants or animals should apply!
