Architecture, Design, and Construction Longview Living-Learning Community: Exploring Environmental Longevity in Construction and Design


The Architecture, Design, and Construction Longview Living-Learning Community is a group of students in the College of Architecture, Design, and Construction.  All incoming freshmen in the College of Architecture, Design, and Construction and freshman Pre-Graphic Design students who are interested in environmental longevity in construction and design are eligible to participate.  The group will live together in Sasnett Hall on the Hill, which is located directly across from the college.  They will also take UNIV 1050: Success Strategies, English 1100: English Composition I, and UNIV 2710: Human Odyssey I in the Fall.  In the Spring, they will take UNIV 1100: Environmental Longevity in Construction and Design, ENGL 1120: English Composition II, and UNIV 2720: Human Odyssey II.  Students will apply for the Architecture, Design, and Construction Living-Learning Community program and be placed in either the Longview Community or GreenHouse Community based on the applicant pool to accomplish the college goal of early interdisciplinary collaboration amongst design and construction related disciplines.  Students must be guaranteed housing to be eligible.

 

Architecture and Design GreenHouse Living-Learning Community: Exploring Green Practices in Construction and Design

The Architecture, Design, and Construction GreenHouse Living-Learning Community is a group of students in the College of Architecture, Design, and Construction.  All incoming freshmen in the College of Architecture, Design, and Construction and freshman Pre-Graphic Design students who are interested in green practices in construction and design are eligible to participate.  The group will live together in Sasnett Hall on the Hill, which is located directly across from the college.  They will also take UNIV 1050: Success Strategies, English 1100: English Composition I, and HIST 1210: Technology and Civilization I in the Fall.  In the Spring, they will take UNIV 1100: Green Practices in Construction and Design, ENGL 1120: English Composition II, and HIST 1220: Technology and Civilization II.  Students will apply for the Architecture, Design, and Construction Living-Learning Community program and be placed in either the Longview Community or GreenHouse Community based on the applicant pool to accomplish the college goal of early interdisciplinary collaboration amongst design and construction related disciplines.  Students must be guaranteed housing to be eligible.
