Study Smart: Academic Boot Camp
Study Smart Seminar
Study Smart is a non-credit 10 week class; enrolled students and students who have already taken Study Smart are not eligible. Students who have been suspended for the 2nd time at the end of Spring 2014 must wait until Fall 2014 to take the class.
This class is for students on suspension and will focus on: the skills and attitudes required for academic success at Auburn University; accepting the reality of one’s academic situation; coming to terms with what one is going to have to do to graduate from Auburn/another college; and exploring other paths to success in life.
Dates & Times: Section 1: Tuesdays May 27 – July 29, 2:30 – 4:00 pm or Section 2: Thursdays May 29 – July 31, 2:30 – 4:00. Both sections in room 176B of RBD Library.
Cost: $150.00 (MONEY ORDER ONLY) Instructions for paying will be given during registration appointment. Additional materials required (e.g. textbook).
To Register: Call 334.844.5972 to make a registration appointment. Students MUST meet with the instructor to register for the class. Class size is limited as are registration appointments; the class will be closed when it is full or when there are no more registration appointments, whichever occurs first. If a student is unable to attend the registration appointment time offered, he/she will be put on a waiting list. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Expelled students can take Study Smart ONLY if they meet the following criteria:
Senior status in earned hours
18 or fewer hours left to complete degree
1.85 or higher Auburn University institutional GPA
Have written (email is fine) support of Dean or Associate Dean of college/school
