Automotive Engineering and Manufacturing Minor

Required Courses:

Students in any engineering major may choose to minor in automotive engineering and manufacturing. Three curriculum tracks are available:  industrial and systems engineering, mechanical engineering, and SAE team tracks. The courses required for the minor may require prerequisites that will not count toward the student’s major or toward the minor.  The minor requires successful completion of 15-16 semester credit hours as shown below:  Industrial and Systems Engineering Track (15 hours): MECH 4430; INSY 5800, 5840, 5860, and 5330 or 5830. Mechanical Engineering Track (15 hours): MECH 4410, 4420, 4430; INSY 5800, 5860.  SAE Team Track (16 hours): MECH 4430, 4440, 4450, INSY 5800, 5840, 5860. (Approval of department and SAE team advisor required).
