Wildlife Ecology and Management

The Wildlife Sciences major at Auburn University gives students knowledge and insight  into the management and conservation of wildlife species.  The program prepares students to become certified wildlife biologists.  The career field  deal with a number of knowledge areas including management, trapping, habitat analysis, botany, methods of research, and others. This knowledge is applied to jobs such as land management, private consulting for landowners, conservation officers, wildlife technicians, and professional wildlife biologists.

During their four years, students are exposed to field experiences through outdoor labs and work opportunities.  They have the opportunity to work hands-on with a number of wildlife species that have included white-tailed deer, feral hogs, bobwhite quail, and birds of prey.
