The Natural Resources Management (NRM) Bachelor of Science degree qualifies graduates to pursue professional positions within traditional and alternative natural resource organizations.  The NRM degree is extremely flexible including multiple choices throughout the curriculum; in Auburn University’s core classes, in over 20 free and restricted elective hours, and in the large selection of minors.  However, the degree has a firm foundation in biology, chemistry, and mathematics that allows students to excel in any of the growing outdoor careers such as ecotourism, sustainability, watershed and wetland management, utilities land management, and park management.

The degree may be customized by students to address the needs of specific jobs by selection of the embedded minor.  Students interested in park management may select minors such as History or an International Minor in Human Sciences.  If a legal degree is planned following the major then minors in Political Science or Psychology are options.  For those who are most interested in education and interpretation jobs, then minors in Communications or Technical and Professional Communications would provide needed coursework.
