The biosystems engineering curriculum is designed to prepare students for productive professional careers in the biosystems industries and related natural resource and environmental systems sectors. Specifically, graduates from the program solve problems by combining engineering and biology to develop environmentally and economically feasible and practical design solutions. The program is the only accredited degree in biosystems engineering in Alabama. Options in ecological engineering and forest engineering are also available under the biosystems engineering degree program.
