Dr. Linda S. Glaze
Associate Provost for Undergraduate Studies
 

Linda S. Glaze has been involved in university administration since 1997, serving first as Assistant Provost for Undergraduate Studies and—since 2005—as Associate Provost for Undergraduate Studies.

Throughout her administrative career, she has been active in developing programs to strengthen student learning, concentrating her efforts on providing central oversight to the areas of general education, undergraduate academic policy, curriculum development, and educational support services.  As current chair of the University Core Curriculum Committee, she also supervises the Human Odyssey and the Honors College, two programs that are integrally related to the general education program.  Dr. Glaze represents the Office on the Academic Standards Committee of the University Senate and is her office is also responsible for verification of the content of the University Bulletin and the maintenance of the course inventory in the student information system.  Since 1997, she has represented the institution as an accreditation liaison with the Commission on Colleges. 

Dr. Glaze has been a member of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures faculty since 1979. Her research interests include twentieth century Spanish literature with a special emphasis in theater.  Her publications have focused on Valle-Inclán and Benavente, major Spanish dramatists. 

Dr. Glaze earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and was instrumental in securing the chapter at Auburn.  She earned both her Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in Spanish Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
