Staff Meetings: 12/1/09
SOS:
This was our last SOS staff meeting for the semester. We basically wrapped up with discussion and summaries about this past selections and publicity. The OLCs did an amazing job with recruiting and selecting the new 2010 OLs, so we want their advice for next year. With this semester coming to an end, we hosted an OL Thank You Reception, Sunday, December 6 for the 2009 OLs’ hard work and dedication. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the past and we are now looking forward to the future. The staff continues to prepare for spring training and upcoming OL socials, for the 2010 group to mingle and get to know each other. We are beginning the New Year with a SOS Session on Thursday, January 7; so we will leave for the holidays being prepared to start off right!
CWE:
This also was our last CWE staff meeting for the semester. The CWE staff is so excited about spring training and working with our new Camp Counselors! Discussion of assignments and new ideas from the HCCs will definitely make for a great year. The HCCs continue to plan various socials for their new CCs, for this semester and next. They want them to create relationships and enjoy the experience as much as they did last year. Parent Counselor applications are available in January, so the HPCs are working hard on publicity strategies, so they will recruit a great group. The staff is also talking about PC info. sessions and callouts; they are right around the corner! To bring the semester to an end and begin the holidays, the CWE staff is getting together for a Christmas Party, Monday, December 7; mixing this past summer’s memories with the Christmas spirit!
