Congratulations on your acceptance to Auburn University! You will find Auburn to be an exciting, challenging and stimulating place to continue your educational journey.
To help you adjust to Auburn University, we have planned Successfully Orienting Students (SOS), a one-day transfer orientation program. SOS emphasizes campus life and services, includes a meeting with an academic advisor, and small group discussions on college life led by Auburn student leaders.
Please make sure to complete these steps so you can register for SOS and start your journey at Auburn on the right foot.
1. Submit the $200 confirmation deposit and the Transfer Plan of Study as soon as possible

2. Register for SOS
Registration is only available online through the tiger I system. For specific instructions on how to register for SOS click here.
3. Keep your information current
If you need to change your major, entry term or address, it is in your best interest to alert Admissions Processing (334-844-6429) as soon as possible. Waiting until SOS could effect your registration or class schedule.
4. Mail your medical form
Mail your completed medical form signed by your physician directly to the AU Medical Clinic. You must submit the medical form prior to the first day of classes. You may obtain the medical form at auburn.edu/medical. The medical form requires a TB Skin Test. This test involves an injection and a wait time of 48-72 hours before it can be read. Please take this into consideration while getting your form completed.
Frequently asked Question: What happens if I am not able to complete the Medical Form before SOS? Will it prevent me from registering from classes?
Each student who has not submitted a Medical Form will be asked to sign a Letter of Understanding at the beginning of the session. This form simply states that the student will turn in the necessary medical form within 30 days of their SOS session. This form acts as a waiver that will release the registration hold on the student’s record so you can register for classes.
5. Begin to view your transfer credit evaluation
Your coursework will start to be evaluated once you pay the $200 confirmation deposit. To review information about the credit evaluation process click here. It is common that your credit evaluation will still be in progress leading up to your SOS session. Please wait to ask your academic advisor specific questions about your transfer credit evaluation when you meet them during the advising portion of SOS.
6. Print your AGSC Transfer Agreement
If you are transferring from an Alabama two-year or four-year institution, print a copy of your AGSC Transfer Agreement and bring it to SOS. This may be printed by accessing www.stars.troy.edu and clicking on the AGSCC Transfer Guide link.
7. Start checking your Tigermail
Advisors, university staff and the First Year Experience Office may be contacting you with important information through your Tigermail account.
