“I was faced with this same situation before I decided to try out for CWE. I’m a business and political since major, so both studying abroad and having a good internship are imperative for my future career goals. The decision to try out for CWE was the best one that I have made during my time here at Auburn. I met 39 of the most amazing people and friends that anyone could ask for, and my life is better because of them. There are so many other summers and semesters to do internships and to study abroad, but CWE is a once in a lifetime chance. There is no way that a summer in Spain or D.C could be more fulfilling than the lives that you impact and the people that impact you through CWE.” – Tori Bray

“CWE is a very prestigious job to have on campus. Not only will you gain more information about Auburn during training, but you’ll gain AMAZING experiences. My major worked hand in hand with Camp. I was able to apply my people skills of being a social worker, to learning how to effectively communicate with my fellow counselors. The experiences that I have gained from camp surpass any internship or summer school class. I promise… you won’t miss out on anything, all you can gain from being involved with the FYE office is lifelong friends, great memories, and EXCELLENCE!” – Erika Dennis

“I think anyone who has had the opportunity to serve as a Camp Counselor would agree that any job, classes, or intern that they missed because of camp was completely worth it. Learning to lead, communicate, and to work with others are only a few of the valuable experiences you will have during camp. Although internships and classes are important, I don’t think a single one of us would give up our camp experience. You learn more about yourself and other people than you would ever imagine, and it is an experience you could not get anywhere else!” – Carrie MeGahee
