“Being a camp counselor does require a lot of time and you must be devoted to doing the job, but it definitely doesn’t stand in the way of doing other things. You will still be able to balance your school work, friends, family, and other things that you are involved in. If anything, camp teaches you how to manage your time better so that you will be able to do more things!” – Leanne Marek

“The job of CWE Camp Counselor does take up time just like any other job would. However, if you look at it closely, it’s really not that bad: weekly meetings in the spring, a few preset dates in the spring, training week, and summer sessions. If vacationing is what you’re worried about, it’s definitely possible. It’s very common for counselors to take road trips together between sessions. Also, if you just have to have some time off this summer, camp ends in mid-July so you still have about a full month before classes start back.”
– Brody Craven

“This is definitely not true because so many of us were involved in other campus organizations. It’s so great because we are all there to give support to each other in everything we are involved in.” – Emily Dorman
