Graduate Training

SCS is invested and committed in the graduate training of Auburn University doctoral students in counseling and psychology. SCS offers semester and year-long practicum training placements. The majority of the training occurs in the context of supervision and direct service delivery (individual and group therapy, outreach presentations), but also includes didatic training, case conference, and small group discussions. Supervision is provided by licensed SCS senior clinic staff.

Auburn University graduate students in counseling and psychology may seek practicum placements at SCS, provided they are recommended by their host department and meet other requirements. Faculty recommended applicants may submit a letter of interest and curriculum vitae early spring semester. Following interviews at SCS, practicum placements are usually determined by mid-April.
