- All IDSC students must complete mandatory academic advising through the Cater Center for Academic Counseling and Advising (Cater Center). Doing so ensures that students progress towards their degree according to the approved plan of study. Each semester, students must schedule a meeting with the IDSC advisor to complete their mandatory advising requirement and ensure registration blocks are removed prior to registration;
- The Faculty Oversight Committee for this degree program must provide approval of the student’s capstone project before a student may register for UNIV 4980;
- The Cater Center advising office is designated for students to seek administrative assistance, including clearing registration blocks, obtaining permission to register for IDSC courses, IDSC forms, etc.;
- Students see their Faculty Mentor for academic and course concerns; for example; when a course in your curriculum is no longer available and you need to discuss and propose alternative with your mentor. He or she is the most appropriate person to assist you with concerns related to academics.
